Tata Safari Bulletproof SUV India Features and Priced

Armoured cars are becoming the next important thing in the Indian Automobile market as potential buyers always opt for cars with better safety features but a car with good safety features and an armoured car are two different things. Features and Pricing are the aspects where these high security cars can be distinguished from the rest.
It were the Tatas who started this trend of introducing heavily cladded security cars and the current line-up consists ofRange RoverLand Rover Discovery and Jaguar XJ, The newest addition to it is the bulletproof Tata Safari SUV priced at a mind boggling Rs.60 Lakh and it very much explains how concentrated the company is on offering bullet proof vehicles for those who can afford.
The weight of the car has increased drastically due to the additional safety equipment but the fine tuned suspension manages to handle the additional weight. Inspite of being heavier the car surprisingly achieves a top speed of 150 km/h and can climb slopes with gradients as high as 60%. Even the interiors have been been upgraded and now get plush leather upholstery
One of the dealers has quoted, “Since the cost of the vehicle is so high, very few dealers invest to buy it and stock it in their showrooms. Such vehicles are not promoted by the manufacturing company but can be had after placing an order to a nearest dealer.”
The safari sports the new BS IV 2.2 Litre DICOR diesel engine which churns out a maximum power of 140 BHP @ 4000 RPM and a peak torque of 320 Nm @1700 RPM but now it is to be seen whether buyers would opt for the car or not.

Volvo India launches the S60

Volvo India has finally done what it was contemplating for a long time now. It has just gone ahead and launched the Volvo S60 here in India. This sedan is the cheapest car in the Volvo India product list and is being marketed at Rs 27 lakhs onwards. Volvo S60 has been launched in three variants namely D5 Kinetic – 27 lakh, D5 Summum – 32 lakh and T6 Summum – 34 lakh. The Volvo S60 will come in two variants for the diesel engine and one for the petrol engine.

Volvo S60 is a sedan with sharp features is nothing like any other Volvo cars in India. Volvo India is confident of taking the market by storm with the Volvo S60. Withthis product, Volvo India is concentrating to produce more volumes. The Volvo S60, to begin, is being offered in two engine options. The Inline six, twin turbo petrol engine capable of producing 302 bhp and 440 Nm and the T5, with a five cylinder CRDi diesel that pumps out 205 bhp of power and 420 Nm of torque. Volvo claims the Volvo S60 can do a 0-100 in 6.5 seconds.
But, for those who know of Volvo to set standards in the safety department, this car certainly plays its part. With this car, the driver has to pray for crashes and accidents, as this car being a Volvo is built like a Volvo. That means the S60 features an array of safety features such as radar and camera based pedestrian detection technology, laser assisted auto braking, adaptive cruise control, traction and advanced stability control, a host of airbags including side curtain airbags, emergency brake assist, front parking camera with 178 degree assist and cornering torque control. All this simply means that you will be sitting in a nuclear bomb resistant bunker in simple terms.
With safety features like these, Volvo S60 will certainly give the competitors a run for their money is the bottom line. Ah, by stating competitors, we refer to all German sedans i.e BMW 3 Series, Mercedes Benz C-Class and Audi A4.
Well, Volvo, while building the S60 has just not neglected the interiors while designing the safety features for sure as the interiors of the car looks just as good as the above-mentioned safety features itself.
The prominent features in the interiors of the car includes sporty dual tone colour seats, In-car entertainment options is through a seven inch DVD screen up front with bluetooth audio streaming, while USB, iPod connectivity and a GPS based Satellite navigation is standard.

The company said in a statement that the average increase in the car’s price would be Rs 9,000, and that prices would differ from city to city and variant to variant. Nokia 888

The Nokia Benelux Design Awards winner project was the Nokia 888. The man behing the design was Tamer Nakisci FROM Turkey. Tamer says his Nokia 888 "is a mobile device designed FOR freedom AND fun. You can change its form according TO your needs".

The phone gives information on what´s happening (reports OF incoming call) by changing shape. The USER interface OF the Nokia 888 works entirely without keyboard. The phone IS ONLY 0,5 cm thick! There IS a nice video ON the Design Awards site if you ARE interested TO find out MORE. AND you can win a trip TO my country by answering SOME questions ON the site...

This IS NO rumor, but rememeber it IS a design award AND NOT a phone that will hit the market before christmas...

The Nokia 888 IS a light communication device. You can change the form OF the phone - You can carry it IN your pocket OR ON your wrist. You can roll AND bend it. It also makes SOME form changes that makes it MORE ergonomical - WHEN you want TO talk ON the Nokia 888 phone, the body form turns INTO the form OF the good old telephone.

Tamer Nakisci explains:

Technologies used
It uses liquid battery, speech recognition, flexible touch screen, touch sensitive body cover which lets it understand AND adjust TO the environment. It has a simple programmable body mechanism so that it changes forms IN different situations.

The design
You dont have TO carry the Nokia 888 IN your pocket OR ON your wrist. You can carry it anywhere, IN anyform. You can roll it, bend it, put ON your clothes LIKE a clip. It also makes SOME form changes that makes it MORE ergonomical: i.e. WHEN you want TO talk ON the phone, the body form turns INTO the form OF the good old telephone. You can personalize these forms AND record them. So it fits you the best IN the way that you have chosen. The functions that it has also CREATE a feeling OF electronical pet, AS it senses your moves, understand what you want, respond you IN the best way. It learns you, TO fit you better. Also e-motions lets you send forms TO the other 888 users. It could be the shape OF a heart OR a small dance. This way you can talk without words.

How the USER interacts
E-motions... It means electronical motions that the Nokia 888 has. You can send AND receive forms FROM / TO friends. You can send a heart shape TO your girlfriend, so her telephone turns INTO an icon OF heart. OR you can send a dancing form TO your friends TO call them TO the party tonight. This IS the fun side OF the product. If we look FROM the functionality side, 888 IS quite flexible. You can put it INTO your pocket, roll it AND make it smaller, OR put ON your wrist WHEN you want TO make a video call ON the GO. If you want TO talk LIKE a normal telephone, there you have your telephone shape. We GO through a lot OF places AND situations IN the daily life, so it seems LIKE one form IS NOT enough.

What IS UNIQUE
You can change the form OF the body. NOT just the color. AND you can do the same by sending an e-motion TO your friend.
